听力对托福考试得高分的重要性不言而喻。下面是我对准备托福考试的同学们的几点建议。
首先，泛听很重要。练习泛听的途径之一是在平板或者手机上下载一些应用软件，比如BBC,NPR或者CNN。我们可以随时在空闲的时候打开听听，甚至当我们在做家务（洗衣服，拖地板）的时候也能听。
通过听英文广播，我们不仅能够获得最新时事信息，而且可以用各个角度的词汇洗洗耳朵，强化我的课堂上和阅读里学习到的单词。不仅如此，英文广播的速度很接近托福听力的速度，因此我们可以通过一段时间的练习将我们的听力速度调高到一定的水平。
其次，精听也很必要，尤其是精听TPO里的听力材料。但是仅仅听和做题目是不够的。我们需要重复跟读模仿直到我们自己能够说的接近讲座里的教授们那样好的程度。
通过这种方法，我们不仅能提高听力，而且可以改善我们的语音语调。除此之外，托福听力是特定的一些授课老师的录音。我们可以通过模仿练习管窥他们的说话风格。
最后，上课认真听讲。托福听力覆盖了大范围的学科，包括生物，化学，地理，文学，经济学等等。而这些学科都是我们学校的高中生们普遍学习的科目。
因此，专注这些课堂的内容有助于我们的托福备考，反之亦然。老师们通常在各自专长的领域理解内容的时候比学生们站在更高的层次。所以他们能够解答学生们长期以来的疑惑，有时候甚至是在无意间。
获得一个满意的考试分数是可喜的。但是对我们的同学们来说更重要的是在备考过程中培养出的持之以恒的精神和有效的执行力。

It goes without saying that listening is pivotal to obtaining a high score in TOEFL test. The following is some suggestions I have for our students who are preparing for this test.
First of all, extensive listening is important; one common way of receiving extensive listening is to download APPs such as BBC, NPR or CNN in our tablets or phones. We can listen to them whenever we are free, even for when we are doing housework like washing clothes or mopping the floor.
By listening to the broadcast, we are able to not only catch up with the latest information but also wash our ears with vocabulary words from a variety of perspectives, reinforcing the words we learned from classes or reading materials.
Furthermore, the broadcasting speed is very approximate to our TOEFL listening. Thus we are likely to adjust our listening speed to a certain level after a period of practice.
Secondly, intensive listening is also necessary, specifically the listening tracks we can access to in TPO. Although only listening to the TPO listening and answering the subsequent questions is not enough. We can step it up by imitating our listening material repeatedly to a point that we are capable
of talking like the professors in their lectures.
In this way, our listening can be improved, so can our pronunciation and intonation. Additionally, the TOEFL listening was recorded by a certain number of speakers whose style of talking can be learned by imitation.
Finally, be attentive to what your teachers say in class. TOEFL listening covers a wide range of disciplines including biology, chemistry, geography, economics, literature and so on. These are the common subjects our high school students are studying.
Therefore, focusing on these classes is going to benefit us with TOEFL test preparation and vice versa. Our teachers usually are held to a higher standard than students in approaching the contents in their respective fields so they can probably solve the puzzles students have been having, subconsciously sometimes.
Achieving a satisfactory score in your test is delightful. However, what matters more is the enduring spirit developed as well as an effective execution cultivated during the process of preparing for TOEFL test.
